The Motto of the Department of Chemistry is to provide Education, Employment to the students and to increase productivity and prosperity in their life. The undergraduate course in Chemistry was started in the year 2014-2015 and the course was designed by Choice-Based Credit System accordingly. The Undergraduate Chemistry Programme has been carefully planned to give students a strong foundation in theory and applications by focusing on the recent developments in Chemistry.

The Department of Chemistry has started M.Sc., Programme in the academic year of 2016-2017. The Department of Chemistry has individual laboratory facilities and Smart Classes. In this department six regular faculty members are working currently. In the year of 2018, one of the student got University 7th Rank and many pass out students are working in several places related to chemistry fields.

Objectives

• To educate the next generation of chemists with the capacity to solve real problems and provide leadership that can lead to the economic and social transformation.
• To impart sufficient qualitative/quantitative analytical and synthetic chemical knowledge and skills of the students.
• To impart transferable skills, abilities, and knowledge required in a wide range of careers in basic and applied research and development of the students.

Library

The department has an Extensive library.
